Lawson is 4!

Lawson turned 4 December 11. We often tell Lawson what a gift he is from God. With all the babies we have had, God gave us one boy...Lawson. We are thankful for him. Lawson is named after my Grandfather (Lawrence). Lawson means son of Lawrence. My Grandfather, Pa, was a pretty amazing man. He was smart, wise, kind, generous, loved the Lord, and a servant. I would love for Lawson to inherit some of my Grandfather's qualities. We had a football party with some of his friends. They were a fun group and helped us celebrate Lawson's life.
The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."
Zeph 3:17

December....So Far....

December is a fun, busy month for us. Here are some shots of what we have been doing....
We went to the Upland Tree Lighting. They had carriage rides. We hopped on and took a carriage ride with the Moser Family. I am pretty sure we shouldn't have had Audrey out in that weather. It was bitter cold that day. I was happy to spend a lot of time with Audrey in the car. Lawson joined Audrey and I towards the end, but not Sara Grace. She could stay out in the cold forever!!

PJ time! We had hot chocolate and books by the Christmas tree.

Look at her! Still a sweetie.

Thanksgiving

Audrey's first Thanksgiving!

We had quite the Thanksgiving tour this holiday season. I must say that when I looked back at the pictures I realized what an awful job I did capturing all that took place.
We started our grand tour visiting some friends. Nona took the kids to the lights and they had a blast. We met baby Graham, saw our favorite neigbors, and some of my college friends.
We then went to Charlotte. Bronson and I went to the Panther game. They loss but we still had fun.

We also celebrated a super early birthday with Lawson. He always wants his cousins to come to his party.....so we made it possible.

We then headed to Ohio to be with Bronson's family. I am so sad that I don't have pictures of this. It was a fun time. I think there were 40 people for dinner that evening.

Art Class at Taylor

Sara Grace took an art class at Taylor with students that are learning to be elementary art teachers. She had a blast and made some great art work to hang. My favorite is the owl. I must say that is the happiest owl I have ever seen.

Catching up......

The last month has been busy and so much fun. Here are some pictures of what has gone on lately.

Audrey is still such a joy and has the cutest rolls! She is a mommy/daddy girl and not a big fan of anyone else holding her. We have tried very hard (no not really) not to spoil her since she is the last one. However, it is just too hard to say no to that sweet little face.

This is the third year in a row that we have gone to this pumpkin patch. We do it each year on our anniversary of moving to Upland, IN. We are shocked that it has already been 2 years since we moved here.

We had four trees planted in our yard. This sweet man brought his tree and this big machine and planted such lovely trees. The kids had so much fun watching the machine and climbing in and out of the huge hole it made. More pictures of the trees and the yard to come soon!

PUMPKIN DAY!
Well, the evening started off rough because Lawson refused to dress up. However, he got over it and had a blast. We started off the evening with a cook out with our small group. Then we went up and down their street and to the Taylor Dorms to Trick or Treat. Lawson received the knight outfit from his Nana and Poppie. They got it for him while over in Scotland. We decided that the perfect thing to go with a knight was a fair lady (Sara Grace). Audrey was a giraffe- no connection to the other two. Just Cute!

look who is riding without training wheels!

Way to go Lawson!! We are so proud of you. It was Sara Grace's idea to teach Lawson how to ride his bike without the training wheels. She felt that Lawson was ready and she was right! Sara Grace was such a good teacher and helper.

A group of us went to this great pumpkin patch for the day. The weather was wonderful and the kids had a blast. Here are some shots of the fun we had.

Nona Sent Packages

Nona sent the kids a package. These pumpkin faces were in it. The kids loved creating their pumpkin face.

Bronson's parents went to Scotland. Here are the gifts they brought to the kids.
They loved their gifts.

Lots of First Times

Over the summer we had lots of first.

Sara Grace learned how to ride her bike without training wheels at the beginning of the summer!

We watched the life cycle of a monarch...AMAZING!
One of my friends introduced me to watching the life cycle of a monarch butterfly with the kids. During the process, Sara Grace and I got to see the caterpillar form its chrysalis. It was amazing to watch and such a reminder of God's creativity. Lawson named his butterfly Santa and Sara Grace named her butterfly Stripey. They each got to release their butterfly after it hatched. So fun.

We received this plant seven years ago and it has never bloomed. However we love that plant and its reminder of God's faithfulness to us. AND it finally bloomed. We were so excited.

Lawson went to the Dentist (he did great!). I was a bit nervous about taking him to the dentist, but he loved it. I was super proud of him.
