Locks of Love!

It was a BIG day for Sara Grace! She cut her hair and donated it to Locks of Love. This week she started to get nervous but then this morning she woke up super excited and ready for the day.
We went to Kara C. She is a splash of happiness in the hair world. She was so great with Sara Grace and gave her such a cute hair cut.

Snowy Days

This week we have had an abundance of snow...snow...snow!!! We would love for you to come over, but knock on our garage door because there is no way to get to our front door since our steps and sidewalk are buried under the snow....

Sara Grace and Lawson love being out in the snow...despite the wind and cold temps!







With the beauty of the snow comes the task of shoveling. This is why we haven't received mail for a week........

It has also been cold and icy so we have been indoors a lot. Yesterday was wonderful. There hardly any wind and it was a bit warmer. So after shoveling the driveway, we went for a snow walk.

The Life of Baby Sister

Audrey has continued to be our easy, go with the flow baby. She is loved by her brother and sister. Both Lawson and Sara Grace like to spend time with her. Yesterday, I was putting Lawson down for his nap and heard Audrey fussing. I walked in the playroom and found this.........

I asked Sara Grace what she was doing and she said she was dressing up Audrey like the story of David trying on Saul's armor to fight Goliath!
I came back later and found this...........

It is her doll's hair on poor little Audrey....but so so funny.

Happy Holidays!

We had a great Christmas. We spent Christmas day here in Upland and then left for Charlotte the day after Christmas. We stayed in Charlotte for a week and spent time with family. While we were there, Lawson had tubes put in and adenoids taking out. We missed seeing Peter's family since their 3rd baby is due soon. Here are a few of the many pictures that we took over the holiday.

We got to see Nona for a brief time! Leona met us on the interstate in Marion, VA for lunch. The kids were so disappointed that we didn't get to spend more time with her. However, we will take a few minutes with Leona rather than none at all. She also spoiled the kids with gifts! We had our own little Christmas at this little hole in the wall...so fun.

This is Audrey's newest trick, SO BIG!

The kids played "Mary and Joseph" all December long. I just hope it will continue next Christmas as well. All too soon, these moments will pass.

Lawson is 4!

Lawson turned 4 December 11. We often tell Lawson what a gift he is from God. With all the babies we have had, God gave us one boy...Lawson. We are thankful for him. Lawson is named after my Grandfather (Lawrence). Lawson means son of Lawrence. My Grandfather, Pa, was a pretty amazing man. He was smart, wise, kind, generous, loved the Lord, and a servant. I would love for Lawson to inherit some of my Grandfather's qualities. We had a football party with some of his friends. They were a fun group and helped us celebrate Lawson's life.

December....So Far....

December is a fun, busy month for us. Here are some shots of what we have been doing....
We went to the Upland Tree Lighting. They had carriage rides. We hopped on and took a carriage ride with the Moser Family. I am pretty sure we shouldn't have had Audrey out in that weather. It was bitter cold that day. I was happy to spend a lot of time with Audrey in the car. Lawson joined Audrey and I towards the end, but not Sara Grace. She could stay out in the cold forever!!



PJ time! We had hot chocolate and books by the Christmas tree.

Thanksgiving

Audrey's first Thanksgiving!


We had quite the Thanksgiving tour this holiday season. I must say that when I looked back at the pictures I realized what an awful job I did capturing all that took place.
We started our grand tour visiting some friends. Nona took the kids to the lights and they had a blast. We met baby Graham, saw our favorite neigbors, and some of my college friends.
We then went to Charlotte. Bronson and I went to the Panther game. They loss but we still had fun.




We also celebrated a super early birthday with Lawson. He always wants his cousins to come to his party.....so we made it possible.


We then headed to Ohio to be with Bronson's family. I am so sad that I don't have pictures of this. It was a fun time. I think there were 40 people for dinner that evening.
